Digital Life Certificate is a digital biometric service for retirees. The ability to submit life certificates online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal was launched in November 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide pensioners with a convenient and transparent way to submit life certificates, according to a press release.
